Dr. Jasjit (Jas) Dillon has garnered her Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training from five countries; the UK where she also obtained her dental degree (BDS) from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and her medical degree (MBBS) from St. Bartholomews and The Royal London School of Medicine. During her UK training she travelled to Hong Kong for international experience in craniofacial and oncological surgery. She spent a year in the Eastern Cape of South Africa serving a population of 7 million people.
After immigrating to the USA she completed her OMS training at the University of California, San Francisco where she also obtained her second dental degree (DDS) and completed her medical board exams for the US. Once done with this extensive training she completed a year of maxillofacial surgical oncology also at UCSF. During her time at UCSF she did a 6 month sabbatical at the University of British Columbia as a faculty at the school of dentistry.
The University of Washington department of OMS has been her home for the past 13 years. She is the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program Director having trained over 50 residents.

She is the recipient of two major research grants and a member of the American (FACS) and British (FDSRCS) College of Surgeons as well as being a board examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
She was recently promoted to full Professor and has published over 50 scientific papers, book chapters. She lectures locally, nationally and internationally.
