I am a foreign-trained, licensed dentist and Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon(OMFS). I am the US Citizen now.
After immigration to the U.S., I started my job as a full-time Assistant Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at
University of Alabama at Birmingham(UAB) School of Dentistry in July 2022. I have been teaching OMFS didactic and
practical courses to the undergraduate students there. In addition, I was Oral Surgery and Anesthesia Undergraduate Course
Director.
After one amazing year at UAB, On July 2023, I stated a new position as an Assistant Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery
in Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry, TN, USA.
However, before my immigration to the US, I have been practicing as Assistant Professor of OMFS in Isfahan university of
Medical Sciences, Isfahan, Iran for 12 years (April 2011-July 2022) that throughout these years, I was also vice chancellor of
research of the department, Affiliated Professor of Special Dental Clinic for Medically Compromised Patients and Dental Implant
Research Center Affiliated Professor. I have 14 Years of teaching and research experience both at the United States and outside.
My teaching method are straight forward and I am a patient approachable instructor. I have a wide knowledge base in the field of
OMFS and I am enthusiastic about sharing personal insight with the students.
My project for getting OMFS specialist certificate on September 2010 was “A comparison of tissue-engineered bone from adiposederived
stem cell with autogenous bone graft in maxillary alveolar cleft model in dogs” that later was published in
“International journal of oral and maxillofacial surgery” (by Elsevier 2012) and was introduced as the most cited article of that
prestigious Journal since 2013-2016. This topic with its special harvest of stem cell from adipose tissue for maxillofacial
reconstruction was for the first time in Iran and the world that time.
The summer 2018 I spent a 2-month short-term AOCMF Fellowship Program in NHS center, U.K. which provided me a gateway to
the worldwide Maxillofacial Network and it was unique opportunity for me to advance my training and expertise.
I am a conscientious, trustworthy, reliable and outgoing person. I am disciplined hardworking medical professional and
specialist who pay attention to details. I put every effort in providing excellent interpersonal and management skills to my students,
colleagues and patients. I depend strongly to the ethical and moral principles and respect all the people and all the paths.
Specially respect patients’ autonomy, rights and interests and absolutely do not discriminate based on someone’s
religion, sex or race.

was in temporary leave.
14. I have been one of the pioneer reviewers of the Journal of Mashhad Dental School indexed in Pub Med and Scopus since 2012.
15. I have had more than 5000 hours license for reviewing and editing of more than 530 articles in Maxillofacial and related scopes
in Dental Research Journal and some other Pubmed and ISI indexed Iranian Journals.
16. I have had principal cooperation in writing a book in regards of Dentistry Residency Exams named “The First Dentistry”.
17. I translated a book from English that has been compiled by international ITI organization regarding implant sciences scope and
published by ITI famous world wild Implant Company.
